The project

Picture
I am reading through the entirety of French theatre history, chronologically, starting with medieval farces all the way up until contemporary productions. This is where I catalogue that experience through weekly essays on the plays I read that week. There is also a database of the plays that I have read.

About me

My name is Jennifer Kellett. I have a M.A. in French Literature, and a B.A. in Theatre Studies. I intend to pursue a PhD in French Literature. My research interests include adaptation, performance studies, and gender/sexuality studies. My Master's paper was titled Les Forces et les faiblesses d'adaptation : Scènes de la Vie de Bohème, and addressed the changes in a few of the adaptations of Henry Murger's collection of short stories.
Written poetry is worth reading once, and then should be destroyed. Let the dead poets make way for others."
